Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon dried herbal tea leaves or 2-3 teaspoons loose herbal tea blend (or 1 tea bag)
- Chamomile (for relaxation)
- Peppermint (for digestion and freshness)
- Lemon Balm (for calming effects)
- Rooibos (caffeine-free, rich in antioxidants)
- Elderflower (for immune support)
- Hibiscus (for a tart flavor and vitamin C)
- 2 cups (475 ml) water
- Honey or sweetener (to taste, optional)
- Lemon slice or fresh herbs (for garnish, optional)
Steps
1. Boil Water:
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a kettle or pot.
2. Prepare the Tea:
- If using loose herbal tea, place the dried herbs in a tea infuser or a tea ball. If you are using a
tea bag, just place it in your teacup or teapot.
3. Steep the Tea:
- Pour the boiling water over the herbs or tea bag in the teacup or teapot.
- Let it steep for 5-7 minutes. Adjust steeping time based on your taste preference: steep longer for
a stronger flavor and shorter for a milder one.
4. Remove the Herbs:
- Remove the tea infuser or tea bag from the cup or teapot.
- If you used loose herbs, strain the tea into another cup to remove the herb particles.
5. Sweeten and Garnish:
- Add honey or your preferred sweetener to taste, if desired.
- Garnish with a lemon slice or a sprig of fresh herbs if you like.
6. Serve:
- Serve the tea hot, or let it cool and serve over ice for a refreshing iced herbal tea.
